Foundation Willen & Doen contributes to the fight against HIV and AIDS in Africa. The foundation originated from the passion of Wil Groot, who converted his WILL to help into a DOING IT.
Willen & Doen runs entirely on volunteers. Only our local employees in South Africa receive a small salary for their work.
In support of the board, a number of special groups have been formed with specific tasks. This way we can better divide the work and increase the professionalism of the foundation. We can also count on a large number of volunteers in the various actions we take.
If you think you can also contribute to one of these groups? Or in any other way want to use your energy or professionalism for the benefit of our foundation? Please send an e-mail to: firstname.lastname@example.org.
Since January2013 is Willen & Doen has been officially registered as a Non Profit Organization (NPO) in South Africa. This makes it easier to collaborate with the government, for example for the payment of salaries to teachers and caretakers. The NPO consists of a number of board members:
The communication of the Foundation is provided by the following persons, who use their professional experience for the benefit of the foundation.
They were the founders and the pillars of the first hour. Willen & Doen has been able to take major steps with them.
The advisory board are people who have given advice over the years on all sorts of matters concerning the projects in South Africa and the projects and actions in the Netherlands. These people have supported Willen and Doen over the years through their contribution. These people have supported Willen and Doen over the years through their contribution.
Mawotsheni is our pilot project that combines the four spearheads of our foundation (relief, medical support, education and self-reliance / agriculture). It is run by the following employees.
The most important question for the South Africa Support Group is: how can we best support the projects for optimal results. This group maintains contact with the projects in South Africa. Important tasks are advising and sending the projects, deciding on financial support for partner projects. They keep an eye on the fact that the activities that are being developed fit within the policy of the Foundation Willen & Doen.
